Also somehow weave in l that badgelife and arduino ramped up around the same time (still refining the corollary here);
as we look at badges talk about Community(ies) overview(?) Badge teams, creators / unique pcb makers in that space. JLCPCB/LCSC and cheap fab? how that combines to form badgelife.
IRL manifests as Badge challenges and other community engagement (how / why are we even here hacking this badge?).
Talk about the 'SAO" standard (and while in some cases electrically silly it is) that it allows for greater community participation / less (and also in some cases more) exclusivity, etc...
